if it weren’t for mathieu van der poel, pogačar would win every single race he wants to, every single year. a level of dominance this sport has really never seen. good god i’m bored, just crushingly bored. i’m genuinely happy for those who revel in pog’s every victory. i am. and the fact that i’m bored isn’t anyone else’s problem. what looked like a great golden age of cycling competition two years ago now looks, to me, like watching paint dry. i expect zero sympathy.

Pro cycling is a bit amateurish at best. So many ad hoc decisions like this

Whether other riders were doped up or not doesn't change the fact Armstrong's own performances were helped by EPO! There's a reason he's been stripped of his records...

"...with the help of EPO..." As if every GC guy in the peloton with him wasn't doped to the gills. I'm not a Lance fanboy, but be accurate, please.

Giro d'Italia 2024, stage 1. Narváez [Ineos] outsprints Schachmann [Bora] and Pogačar [UAE]. Pogačar's reaction 'Nooooooo!'. UAE's DSs' reactions 'Yeeeeeeesssss!' (rubbing their hands in glee at having found a rider as strong as Narváez to sign).
