The big problems are ASO and the UCI. Not Spain. And definitely not the riders who are contracted through IPT (take that, Matteo). With minimal revenue sharing from big organizations to the teams (and let's be honest. . .the UCI is a puppet leader and will always yield to ASO), the teams desperately need revenue. And in steps in money from Middle East and Israel. If the UCI World Teams didn't have to rely on major sponsorships from IPT, UAE, Jayco-Alula, and Bahrain Victorious, then you would NOT see politics crossing over violently into the Vuelta. Until the revenue sharing structure at ASO changes, this is just the beginning. . .
