Kudos to these youngsters for taking a stand, it is a harrowing decision. The scouting system needs a rethink. An athlete's decision to opt-out should force us to reflect on the pressure we impose on sportspersons. The drive to be the best shouldn’t sacrifice an athlete's wellbeing. I hope this sparks a conversation in other youth-based sports too.

I admire Kuss' competitive spirit and camaraderie with fellow competitors like Evenepoel. It shows a great sense of sportsmanship on his part to share a joke with him pre-stageCan't wait to see if he can hold onto his lead till the end!
