Ayuso is the one making Ayuso look bad, not the team. He acts like we didn't see all the races where he rode for himself over the team and still tries to play the victim. Such a crybaby...

Funny how you omit the part where he regained most of the gap by riding behind a car ^^

He didn't lose much after the 2nd bike change because he rode after the car to get back to the group and was getting dropped on mount Kigali regardless of any issues. Even when they were riding as a trio they were losing time to Tadej on every climb and once Remco was alone he hemorrhaged time to Tadej quite quickly. Without the mechanicals, the best case scenario for him would most likely be bridging to Tadej and IDT at some point after Mur de Kigali and then getting dropped in the final laps on one of the climbs. Kudos to him for fighting till the end but he wasn't winning that race...

Maybe riding Canadian GPs will help with the road race (and the record) but having to change time zones twice in 2 weeks and less than a week to get acclimated in Rwanda is not enough so a substandard result isn't all that surprising. Remco was obviously a beast but Tadej lost less time at a long TT in the tour on a parkour that suited Remco even more so he was definitely off.
