This is a lazy take. The issue is not whether he is driving the bus or taking a flight. The issue is that a rest day in a Grand Tour is supposed to be for recovery, not for a long transfer, airports, disrupted routines and extra infection risk. Professional riders are not robots. Recovery, sleep and health matter over three weeks. And “Pog would take it in his stride” is not an argument. It is just guessing what your favourite rider would say. A rider can be tough and still criticise poor race logistics.
