You are the LBS owner's dream. Having worked in several in the 80s/90s, there were those who just had to have the latest season's equipment fashion (JFC gravel bikes? OK). These were the architects and proctologists who could afford it, not the talented riders who were still riding their same old bikes and dropping all the weight-weenie slaves like stones two miles after the ride started.
