MvdP will retire before age is a factor. The Cipressa simply isn't difficult enough for Pogi's climbing dominance to distance a healthy MvdP. Just how this palmares is. If Pogi ultimately wins without MvdP being in the race he may not take as much pleasure in it.06:11

But for Pogi brain-farting and crashing in last year's P-R, he wins. My $$ is on Pogi this year. Milan-San Remo is another matter. For Pogi to beat MvdP the latter has to make a mistake. Possible, but MvdP rarely makes mistakes.06:05

Don't blame rising costs on the rider salaries. They deserve everything they can get. The riders ARE the show. The work (training and racing) is grueling and dangerous, and most careers are short. If costs are a big enough issue for the sport, institute a cap like in F1. The drivers' salaries are exempt. This has led to a broader competitive base for the teams.04-01-2026 08:28

You know nothing about bike racing. Ever hear of Carapaz? He would have let Del Toro pull him up the hill to Yates and passed both of them. Del Toro was looking for direction from his DS (you know what that is, right? No.) None was forthcoming. If Del Toro was so dumb, how come he had the Maglia Rosa for almost 3 weeks?
