Don't blame rising costs on the rider salaries. They deserve everything they can get. The riders ARE the show. The work (training and racing) is grueling and dangerous, and most careers are short. If costs are a big enough issue for the sport, institute a cap like in F1. The drivers' salaries are exempt. This has led to a broader competitive base for the teams.

You know nothing about bike racing. Ever hear of Carapaz? He would have let Del Toro pull him up the hill to Yates and passed both of them. Del Toro was looking for direction from his DS (you know what that is, right? No.) None was forthcoming. If Del Toro was so dumb, how come he had the Maglia Rosa for almost 3 weeks? Fool.
