- These are some things that could improve a cyclist’s performance but are not currently banned by UCI. 1. Ketone esters/drinks 2. Tapendatol (strong painkiller) 3. GLP-1 agonists (Ozempic/Wegovy-type drugs) 4. Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) 5. Caffeine (high dose) 6. Nitrates (beetroot juice) 7. Peptides Could the cyclists be using any of these substances to help them in races? There could be several more we don’t know about that only the teams know.PogiFan2Day02-05-2026
- If doping is taking place in cycling then everyone is doing it. This also means that everyone is at the same baseline and that the best cyclists will win eventually. I also have a feeling that the UCI will not publicly name any superstars if they were caught cheating to protect the interests of the sport.
