- It is still a big improvement to be able to compete for a result for Almeida. On stage 12 (I think) he showed his first indication of returning to form by setting a good pace in the breakaway, but, finishing 48th, he didn't get a result. 10th place is a significant improvement. If he carries on at this rate we could see him triumph at the end
