Wout van Aert outsprints van der Poel and Pidcock to victory at Exact Cross Loenhout

Wout van Aert has won the Exact Cross Loenhout. He beat Mathieu van der Poel and Tom Pidcock to secure his fifth victory of the season.

Mathieu van der Poel started aggressively, Wout van Aert was just behind him. Tom Pidcock was also not far away. Pidcock joined the duo in the next lap. Daan Soete was the only brave soul who tried to follow them.

The other two were constantly under pressure from van der Poel. The muddy conditions prompted Pidcock to get off his bike and walk, causing him to lose his place in the group of leaders.

Pidcock demonstrated exceptional resilience and was able to catch up to the other two riders, resulting in the group being reunited once more. Van der Poel attacked in the final lap, and van Aert followed him. Pidcock was once again separated from the group.

Wout van Aert beat van der Poel and recorded his fifth victory of the season. Mathieu van der Poel once had to settle for silver. Tom Pidcock finished third.
