The cyclocross
national championships have taken place in the USA this Saturday and delivered a few exciting results. We've got an 18-year old winning the women's elite title, whilst on the men's side
Andrew Strohmeyer won the stars and stripes jersey for the first time at elite level.
Strohmeyer managed to beat, by a very small margin, Eric Brunner and Scott Funston who put up a strong fight in Louisville. In the women's race it was not so close, and we have witnessed the breakthrough of a very talented young rider in
Vida Lopez de San Roman.
The 18-year old climbed from junior national champion last year directly to Elite national champion this winter, winning this title at only 18 years of age. She beat Katie Clouse by over a minute, whilst Raylin Nuss completed the podium.
