Timo Kielich bags his cyclocross season early to focus on his WorldTour debut with Alpecin-Deceuninck

Timo Kielich's cyclocross season has unfortunately been limited to one race. He only raced in Herentals where he hurt his knee in a crash and ultimately did not finish on the day. He has decided to shift his focus to the road, where the first year in the WorldTour with Alpecin-Deceuninck awaits the talented Belgian.

"First off, I want to wish everyone a great 2024. We head into a new year, full of opportunities and new challenges," Kielich begins the statement on his Instagram profile.

"Secondly, I have to announce I will not start in my planned cyclocross races. I didn't feel 100% during the last few week and I, together with the team, have decided to fully focus on the upcoming road season. Thanks for the messages I have recieved over the past weeks. I'll see you soon when the road season starts," he concludes.
