Annemarie Worst powers to victory in Exact Cross Waaslandcross

Team 777 rider Annemarie Worst has claimed her sixth win of the season at the Exact Cross Waaslandcross, having established a lead in the third lap and held onto it until the finish line. Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado finished behind her and Lucinda Brand completed the podium.

Laura Verdonschot and Marion Norbert Riberrolle had a nice start. Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado could not plan her timing right and ended up in the back of the group. Lucinda Brand was at the front and enjoying the lead.

Annemarie Worst was leading by the end of the third lap as Betsema and Brand were chasing her. By the end of the fourth lap, her gap increased to over 25 seconds. Alvarado joined Brand in the chase.

Annemarie Worst crossed the finish line almost 30 seconds ahead of the others and secured the win. Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado took silver, while Lucinda Brand finished third.
