Jumbo-Visma, UAE Team Emirates and the INEOS Grenadiers have all entered the Volta ao Algarve set to take place between February 15th and February 19th.
All 3 teams have a history in the Algarve. INEOS are 4-time former champions thanks to Richie Porte in 2012, Geraint Thomas in 2015 & 2016 and most recently Michal Kwiatkowski in 2018. Jumbo-Visma meanwhile tasted success in the 2017 edition of the race with Primoz Roglic whilst UAE Team Emirates' Tadej Pogacar was successful in 2019.
Last year's race was won by Remco Evenepoel comfortably ahead of Brandon McNulty and Daniel Martinez and thanks to the addition of the three top teams, the 2023 Volta ao Algarve will now feature all 5 teams at the top of the UCI World Rankings making it one of the biggest editions of the race since it's debut in 1960.
