There's something unique about how the atmosphere fluctuates whenever the topic comes to Paris-Roubaix. Is it the brutal course, the heroic tales of legends of the mythical Trouée d'Arrenberg or perhaps the iconic velodrome that draws the attentions of millions of cycling enthusiasts every April? It's hard to say with certainty, but what we know for sure is which teams will be at the start of the cobblest race on the planet in 2025!
Last year's men edition was an entertaining show from the first kilometers as wind blew up the race before the television broadcast had even begun. Eventually it was Mathieu van der Poel's phenomenal solo ride which sealed the results, but we had seen a phenomenal race from his whole team. But it's not only about the winners and even starting at Paris-Roubaix is a great honor for all ProTeams. Which seven teams receive a wildcard for the 122th edition of the only monument on French soil?
Two invitations go to the two French PRT formations - Total Energies and Unibet Tietema Rockets. For the latter it'll be a long-awaited debut at a Monument. Two more wild cards were handed to both Swiss ProTeams - Q36.5 Pro Cycling and Tudor Pro Cycling. While Q36.5 scored a nice top-20 thanks to Kamil Malecki last year and the prospect of Tom Pidcock at the start certainly attracts organisers, Tudor will debut at the race, but a strong performance is immediately sought after from the ambitious team lead by former champion Fabian Cancellara.
Completing the list of 25 teams that will race Paris-Roubaix this year are those who have deserved an automatic wild card through their performances in UCI rankings: Israel - Premier Tech, Lotto and Uno-X Mobility.

Compared to the more than traditional men's race, the variant for women has only just crawled out of its crib. While still yet with its 5th edition, the Paris-Roubaix Femmes avec Zwift already became a household name on the women's calendar with great champions like Lizzie Deignan, Elisa Longo Borghini and Lotte Kopecky, but also surprising winners like Alison Jackson in 2023.
24 teams, one less than in men's race, will attend the 2025 edition. Of course all 15 UCI WorldTeams are present and the same applies to the newly-established ProTeams... With one exception as the Basque team Laboral Kutxa decided to skip the race. This means three more wild cards will go to the strongest Continental teams; DD Group Pro Cycling Team, Lotto Ladies and Team Coop - Repsol.
