After taking the first UCI World Cup win of his senior Cyclocross career last weekend in Dendermonde, Baloise - Trek Lions' star Pim Ronhaar has revealed he's keen to show himself on the road next year.
"I've been excelling on the road. We're in constant touch with Trek's other team, Lidl-Trek," the 22-year-old Dutchman, who won the general classification and took a stage win at the Flèche du Sud in 2023. "I'm looking to enhance my road racing skills. Last year, I really dedicated myself to this preparation, which paid off with great results. I'm confident that employing more tactical thinking in races will lead to even more successes."
Ronhaar's teammate Thibau Nys, has already made the switch to Lidl-Trek on the road after similarly winning the Flèche du Sud in 2022. Could Ronhaar be the next cyclocross star to make the jump to World Tour level on the road?
