Simon Pellaud honours his late compatriot Gino Mader by attacking on the Kolovrat climb ❤️🇨🇭 He doesn't last long, but with tears in his eyes he pays tribute to Gino 🥺🙏
The cycling world remains in mourning today after the heartbreaking news of Gino Mäder's passing. As races continue, grief-stricken riders throughout the peloton have been paying tribute. One such example came from Simon Pellaud.
The 30-year-old of the Tudor Pro Cycling Team is a two-time runner-up at the Swiss national championships. After attacking ahead of the main bunch at the Tour of Slovenia, Pellaud had tears in his eyes as he made a heart shape and pointed a poignant finger to the sky. After he was then brought back into the peloton, Pellaud was given a pat on the back and comforted by his fellow riders.
