The Tour de France is won in the mountains and time-trials but can be lost at any moment. One day after taking over the yellow jersey after a brutal performance into Valloire, the Slovenian almost crashed at high speed with road furniture. His save was nothing but unbelievable.
With 60 kilometers to go on a relatively calm day we have seen the first moment of big distress for a few riders. Helicopter footage revealed Tadej Pogacar almost hitting road furniture, braking and skidding to just narrowly avoid it. The crash took place behind him however due to this move, with Pello Bilbao and Matej Mohoric amongst those affected.
