The final mountain stage of the Tour de France matched expectations and provided fireworks. Tadej Pogacar returned to his best level after the Col de la Loze implosion and has outsprinted Jonas Vingegaard to win his second stage.
After a string of attacks in the final climb it was impossible to dislodge the Dane who is heading towards his second Tour de France win. Instead he waited for a sprint, with Adam Yates controlling the group, and in the final meters he was unbeatable.
