After being brought down as part of that nasty Itzulia Basque Country crash, Primoz Roglic's hopes of competing at the 2024 Tour de France seemed momentarily up in the air. Having recovered well however, the Slovenian is now reconning the key stages.
In footage first posted to the official Instagram account of Roglic's BORA - hansgrohe teammate, Marco Haller, the former Vuelta a Espana and Giro d'Italia winner can be seen doing reconnaissance of the controversial stage 9 of this year's route, a stage in which gravel is set to play a key role in deciding the winner on the day.
Taking place in and around Troyes, whilst it's unlikely anyone will win the Tour de France on the gravely stage 9, it's definitely possible that for some Maillot Jaune hopefuls, the race will be lost. As such, it pays to be prepared.
Take a look at Primoz Roglic scoping out the route of the stage in the video down below!
