VIDEO: Juan Pedro Lopez celebrates Tour of the Alps victory with showcase of footballing abilities

After marking all the moves of his rivals and successfully navigating a tricky final stage at the 2024 Tour of the Alps, Juan Pedro Lopez secured himself the biggest victory of his career in the general classification.
Known to be a massive Real Betis fan, Lopez would have been delighted to be wearing the green, leaders jersey over the past couple of days. In an impromptu moment in his post-race press conference, the 26-year-old Spaniard showcased his skills with a football at his feet.

Taking the ball and doing "about 30 kick-ups," a clearly gleeful Lopez was in a celebratory mood following his overall victory at the Tour of the Alps, concluding his display of 'tekkers' by shouting "Betis!" across the press room.

- Jonas has a completely different personality than Pogi. Pogi can handle the pressure on all terrains. Pogi also loves his peace and quiet. And by the way, you can have your Casio watch. I will take several of the Richard Mille watches. Pogi is charismatic and humble, and always thanks his teammates for everything they sacrifice for him. Jonas probably does the same, but is much more private. Both are great, great riders, and I can't wait for The Tour De France this year! We are going over for two weeks. Go Pogi!
