After a chaotic run-in that saw numerous riders go down in a crash just over 3km to go, Bahrain - Victorious's Jonathan Milan took a first career Grand Tour stage win at the Giro d'Italia.
Although as mentioned many riders went down and some of the pre-stage favourites such as Mads Pedersen and Mark Cavendish now found themselves out of contention. The likes of Fernando Gaviria, Kaden Groves and Michael Matthews remained in the mix.
It was none of the aforementioned trio that took the win though. That accolade was take by the 22-year-old Italian, Jonathan Milan. Watch the final sprint in the video below as Milan delighted the Italian public by taking a home victory.
