Ethan Hayter powered his way to a brilliant stage win at the Tour de Romandie thanks in part to a perfect sprint lead-out train by his INEOS Grenadiers teammates.
With the INEOS riders taking to the front of the peloton in order to control the repeated late-stage attacks as a number of teams hoped to deny Hayter the chance to take the win from a reduced bunch sprint. In the final kilometre the British-based team, usually best known for their general classification attempts, put on a sprint lead-out clinic.
With former Tour de France and Giro d'Italia winner, Egan Bernal taking the front the Colombian was then followed by Jhonatan Narváez before handing over to Ethan Hayter as he took a dominant victory ahead of Juan Ayuso and Romain Bardet.
