VIDEO: Felix Grossschartner - loyal domestique for Tadej Pogacar - crashes at the Giro d'Italia

Tadej Pogacar's UAE Team Emirates have managed to skirt their way through the opening 10 stages at the 2024 Giro d'Italia without incident so far. On stage 11 however, Felix Grossschartner has hit the deck.

The 30-year-old Austrian has been excellent in the service of the Maglia Rosa so far at this race however, as an attack at the front accelerated the peloton, the bunch was squeezed behind with Grossschartner and a pair of Team DSM-Firmenich riders being forced off the road. Although the UAE man spectacularly flipped head over heels, thankfully it was a relatively safe landing in the grass.
