'Van Aert as good as certain to go to the Tour' - Report suggests that decision could already be made in Visma camp

Can the decision already be made? Wout van Aert is almost certain to be racing the Tour de France this summer according to sources within the Belgian media. If so, this comes in the wake of the rumour that he will return to racing at the upcoming Tour of Norway.

This has been reported by Het Nieuwsblad this Saturday. Van Aert is said to be "as good as certain" at the Grand Boucle; a decision that is expected to be announced soon as the Belgian had to let go of his plans to race the cobbled monuments and the Giro d'Italia.

Van Aert will likely race the Tour of Norway and the Belgian national championships. We do not know if he will race the Criterium du Dauphiné or Tour de Suisse; but an altitude camp in that period is also a possibility. Ultimately, van Aert prepares for the Olympic Games, but without racing his main spring goals the preparation changes completely.
