Uno-X Pro Cycling Team's Torstein Traeen had recently been diagnosed with testicular cancer, jeopardizing his cycling career and much more. However the story had a happy ending, as the treatment and recovery has been successful and swift for the 27-year old.

In an Instagram post, Traeen said that "I got 99 problems and cancer ain't one (anymore)," revealing that he was no longer at risk of going through chemotherapy. The Norwegian was diagnosed with testicular cancer in May, and subsequently went through the necessary medical treatment which has seen him in the meantime cancer free.

"I feel really blessed that Uno-X Pro Cycling Team has had my back through this difficult time. The support from them has been priceless. Can't wait to be back racing full gas soon," he said.

Traeen was one of the breakthrough riders in the early part of the season, finishing the Volta a Catalunya in ninth place riding alongside the team's main talent Tobias Johannessen. His last race day was in the final stage of the Tour of the Alps where he finished in fifth place. His return to the peloton doesn't have a date yet, however all signs are looking good for a return.
