UCI World Tour Teams Ranking Update: Pogacar's UAE on Top; INEOS in 8th; Cofidis drops down and wildcard battle ignites
Cycling
The UCI WorldTour team ranking is entering the final stretch of the season with little change at the top, but significant movement in the middle and the battle to break into the top 30. The latest update includes points earned at the European Championships, several Italian one-day races and, above all, Il Lombardia, the final Monument of the season.
Despite the number of points awarded during the week, UAE Team Emirates-XRG’s dominance remains unquestioned. The Emirati team hold first place with 30,329.1 points, ahead of Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe on 25,101.59 and third-placed Team Visma | Lease a Bike on 22,648.43.
UAE hold the lead as Decathlon fail to close the gap
The top of the standings remains virtually unchanged. UAE Team Emirates-XRG are still out in front, followed by Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe and Team Visma | Lease a Bike, while Decathlon CMA CGM hold fourth place on 20,573.32 points.
Decathlon’s victory at Il Lombardia was not enough to significantly close the gap to the top three in the team ranking. The French team remain behind Visma, while Lidl-Trek retain fifth place on 18,817.4 points, still some way behind the top four.
XDS Astana Team are sixth, ahead of Bahrain - Victorious and Netcompany INEOS, who complete the top eight. Stability remains the defining feature of this section of the standings.

Paul Seixas' win at Il Lombardia delivered important UCI points
Soudal Quick-Step move into the top nine as Movistar Team climb two places
The most notable change in the top 10 comes from Soudal Quick-Step. The Belgian team rise one place to ninth on 12,217.28 points, overtaking Uno-X Mobility, who drop to 10th with 12,098.63.
However, one of the week’s biggest gains came from Spain. Movistar Team move up two places to 12th on 10,637.1 points, thanks in large part to Enric Mas’ second place at Il Lombardia.
The Mallorcan rider’s result earned the Spanish team valuable points and lifted them in the standings. Movistar now sit ahead of Team Jayco AlUla, who drop two places to 14th, while EF Education-EasyPost occupy 13th.
Pinarello-Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team also move up one place to 15th. Tudor Pro Cycling Team, meanwhile, drop one place to 16th.

Relegation battle: Cofidis drop to 19th
The area demanding the most attention is the fight around the relegation places in the three-year ranking. Under the system, which assesses teams over three-season cycles, the top 18 retain their WorldTour licences, while those below them face the consequences of the promotion and relegation system.
In this update, Lotto Intermarché climb two places to 17th on 9,850.33 points. NSN Cycling Team remain 18th, while Cofidis drop two places to 19th on 9,449.36 points.
The shift leaves Cofidis outside the top 18 in the current standings. However, this is the first year of the three-year cycle, so there is still plenty of racing before this snapshot determines the final consequences for team licences.
Further down, Groupama-FDJ United sit 20th. TotalEnergies rise to 21st, while Unibet Rose Rockets fall to 22nd. Caja Rural-Seguros RGA, Burgos-Burpellet-BH, Team Polti VisitMalta, Solution Tech Nippo Rali and Equipo Kern Pharma occupy places 23 to 27.
Euskaltel-Euskadi close in on the top-30 target
The battle to break into the top 30 has also produced significant movement. Euskaltel-Euskadi have taken a step forward, climbing two places to 29th on 2,693.26 points.
The Basque team made the most of their participation in races in Algeria, where they claimed a stage-race victory and several strong results. Those points have brought them closer to their goal of finishing the season among the 30 highest-ranked teams.
This section of the ranking is particularly relevant because a team’s UCI position can affect its chances of receiving invitations to Grand Tours and other major races. Participation also depends on each race’s regulations and applicable selection criteria.
Team Picnic PostNL now sit 30th on 2,680 points after dropping two places. Just 13.26 points separate the Dutch team from Euskaltel-Euskadi, leaving their battle wide open.
Bardiani CSF 7 Saber drops to 31st place which provisionally leaves them outside of the realm of wildcards for 2027; while continental team Li Ning Star sits 32nd. Teams such as MBH Bank CSB Telecom Fort are also watching the rankings closely after climbing two places to 28th. With the season’s final races still to come, movements in this part of the standings could prove decisive as teams depend on these points for their ambitions next season.

One final week to settle the rankings at the Tour of Guangxi
The season is nearing its end, and there is less and less room to change the standings. The final events on the calendar could still alter the rankings, particularly for teams seeking to secure a place in the top 30 or improve their position ahead of the next cycle.
At the top, UAE Team Emirates-XRG holds a substantial lead over its rivals, and the leading positions look set to remain largely unchanged. By contrast, the battle for 18th place and for a finish among the top 30 promises to keep attention focused until the season concludes.
Movistar Team strengthened its position at Il Lombardia thanks to Enric Mas, while Euskaltel-Euskadi has used its international results to continue climbing. At the other end of the standings, Cofidis and Team Picnic PostNL face a final stretch in which every point could make a difference.

Rafionain-Glas03-11-2026 - A great route, much more exciting than the Tour de France. Monte Livata is an interesting one, because they experimented with it at the 2026 Baby Giro, and it was fantastic. 4 km at 10%, then 10 km at 6.5% made for a great spectacle. The stage 16 is horrible
Rafionain-Glas03-11-2026 - I remember when Mark went through that. He was really experiencing lows and thought about quiting many times. It took him a long time to recover. I, like many others were overjoyed when he came back. I hope Lafay has been tested. I wish him the best.Paggss03-11-2026

- I think Jonas would have lost the TDF by 4+ minutes (at the least) and might not have even been in the top 3. Too much talent in the younger riders to say anyone not named Pogačar would have been top 3md197503-11-2026
