We come off a week with stage races such as the Arctic Race of Norway, the Czech Tour, and a subdued Volta a Portugal, plus a WorldTour classic in the ADAC Cyclassics Hamburg. These events stirred the individual standings but barely shifted the UCI team rankings.
The headline change sits near the top, where Soudal Quick-Step edges past Alpecin-Premier Tech into ninth after Paul Magnier’s victory at the ADAC Cyclassics Hamburg. The Belgian squad now totals 9,276 points, with Alpecin-Premier Tech tenth on 9,195.
The gap is wafer-thin, just 80.56 points, but it returns Soudal to the top 10 on the eve of La Vuelta a España and other key dates such as the Renewi Tour and the Deutschland Tour.

The UCI team ranking top 10

UAE Team Emirates-XRG remains on top with 23,980 points. The Emirati outfit holds a sizeable cushion over Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe, second on 18,965, with Team Visma | Lease a Bike third at 16,831.
Fourth stays with Decathlon CMA CGM Team on 15,028 points, while Lidl-Trek is steady in fifth with 13,635. Next are XDS Astana Team, sixth on 11,743, and Bahrain Victorious, seventh with 10,529.
Netcompany Ineos holds eighth with 9,900 points, and just behind comes the only change inside the top 10. Soudal Quick-Step climbs to ninth thanks to the Hamburg haul, pushing Alpecin-Premier Tech down to tenth.
The rest of the top 10 is unchanged, with UAE Team Emirates - XRG clearly dictating a table where it still enjoys a buffer of more than 5,000 points over Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe.

Fight for the Top30

One of the more interesting shifts comes further down, with Euskaltel-Euskadi gaining a place and rising to 31st in the UCI team ranking. The Top30 designates the teams that can apply for Grand Tour wildcards in 2027, and Mikel Landa's future team is pushing to be part of the selection, right behind Team Picnic PostNL.
The Basque outfit now has 1,776 points after a solid Volta a Portugal, and sits on the cusp of 30th. Ahead is Team Picnic PostNL, down one spot to 30th with 1,964 points.
The gap between them is just 187 points, putting Euskaltel-Euskadi within striking distance of a berth that could be pivotal for future ambitions.

30 ⬇️ Team Picnic PostNL 1,964
31 ⬆️ Euskaltel-Euskadi 1,776.97
32 ⬇️ Li Ning Star 1,730.33
The Basque team’s target is the top 30, a zone that could unlock wildcard opportunities for the Grand Tours. With racing still to come, Euskaltel-Euskadi has time to trim the deficit to Team Picnic PostNL and finish the season among the 30 best squads.
The rise also underlines their good form, having made the most of recent chances and looking up again in a table that can shape the coming seasons.
With a 187-point gap to 30th, Euskaltel-Euskadi heads into the season’s run-in with a clear goal: break into the top 30 and keep growing its weight in the international peloton.

Promotion-Relegation fight

The gaps remain small, but there are several teams in the mix for the Top18, which will decide the next round of World Tour licenses. As it stands, Pinarello - Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team and Tudor Pro Cycling Team are both inside it, 16th and 17th, pushing Picnic and Groupama - FDJ (currently 20th) into ProTeam level provisionally.
NSN are 14th, Movistar 15th, Lotto - Intermarché are 18th and Cofidis sit in 19th place, all of them separated by less than 1000 points, a gap that is not difficult to close at this point in time.
