UCI World Tour Riders Ranking Update: Paul Seixas closes in on Isaac Del Toro after Lombardia triumph as Tadej Pogacar stays on top

The UCI WorldTour rider rankings are entering the final stretch of the season with little change at the top, but several interesting moves among riders looking to improve their tallies before the calendar closes. Results from Il Lombardia, the Italian classics and the European Championships have reshaped several places in the top 50. Enric Mas was the rider of the week.
The main takeaway is that Tadej Pogacar remains top of the standings with 9,331.75 points, ahead of Remco Evenepoel and Isaac del Toro.
The Slovenian retains a substantial lead over his rivals, and despite having been out of competition for several weeks, no one has threatened his position at the summit.
Pogacar, Evenepoel and Del Toro hold the podium places
Pogacar remains atop although his lead continues to shrink considerably during his absence. Remco Evenepoel is second on 7,066.61 points with now less than 2,300-point disadvantage, while Isaac del Toro is third with 5,806.46.

Paul Seixas’s victory at Il Lombardia has brought him closer to the Mexican. The young Frenchman has 5,580.38 points and remains fourth, just over 200 points behind Del Toro.
The gap has narrowed, but Seixas has yet to take third place from him. With no more races planned in 2026, this will have to happen at earliest next year.
Jonas Vingegaard holds fifth place with 4,160.82 points, just ahead of Tom Pidcock, who is sixth on 4,061.5. The Briton is one of the few riders near the top who can still add points in the final week of racing, thanks to his participation at the Tour of Guangxi.
Wout van Aert, Jasper Philipsen, Felix Gall and Mathieu van der Poel complete the top 10. With little racing left and the gaps between them, these positions are likely to remain unchanged through the end of the season, although some minor adjustments are still possible.
Enric Mas among the standout riders at Il Lombardia
The biggest rise near the top of the standings comes from Spain. Enric Mas climbs six places to 15th with 2,798.14 points after finishing second at Il Lombardia.
The Movistar Team rider’s result provides a significant boost to both his individual ranking and the team’s standing. Mas has again shown he can compete at the highest level in one of the calendar’s major races, rounding off the season with his second runner-up result, four years after he had lost to Tadej Pogacar.

Giulio Ciccone also deserves special mention after finishing third at Il Lombardia. The Italian rises 11 places to 16th with 2,728 points, directly behind Mas. His performances in the Italian classics have made him one of the week’s biggest movers.
Christian Scaroni also climbs two places to 14th. In contrast, Mads Pedersen and Tobias Halland Johannessen each drop three places, while Romain Grégoire slips to 20th.
Americans close off the year in style
Il Lombardia also had a positive impact on 2026 world champion Brandon McNulty, who finished fourth in the Italian classic. The American climbs three places to 21st with 2,457.89 points.
Another American in good form is Matteo Jorgenson. After a strong week of Italian classics, the Team Visma | Lease a Bike rider rises five places to 26th with 2,084.82 points.
Quinn Simmons had the toughest week among the top 50. The American drops 11 places to 34th with 1,772.82 points after failing to match the form he showed at Il Lombardia last season when he finished fourth a breath-taking breakaway effort.

There are also notable gains in the middle of the top 30. Primož Roglič climbs one place to 24th, while Jordi Meeus moves up two spots to 28th. Jasper Stuyven rises to 32nd, and Jenno Berckmoes gains four places to reach 38th.
Final week to settle the UCI rankings
The season is drawing to a close, leaving fewer chances to change the leading positions. Pogacar retains a sizeable advantage, while Evenepoel and Del Toro hold their places on the podium. The closest contest is among the riders further down, where results in the final races could still bring changes.
Tom Pidcock is one to watch at the Tour of Guangxi, where he could try to close the gap to Jonas Vingegaard. Juan Ayuso will also be in focus as he looks to regain his best form and finish the season with a positive result.
Enric Mas and Giulio Ciccone, meanwhile, have already moved up the standings after Il Lombardia, becoming two of the biggest movers in the latest update.
The next rankings will show how the international peloton finishes the year and whether the final races spring any surprises in a standings table where Tadej Pogačar appears untouchable at the top.

- Could we give Seixas time to be Seixas and not make comparisons too soon? Maybe it’s my age speaking, but he’s a mere 20, barely started. Sure, a phenom, but so young. Will he win 8 Monuments like van der Poel so far, will he win 4 grand tours like Vingegaard? Those have been the two seconds to Pogačar’s first, since covid. Yes, there’s an eventual changing of the guard, but Seixas will need time to build the palmares to make his case.
