UCI World Tour Rankings Teams Update: Del Toro and Evenepoel win, keeping UAE and Red Bull at the top; Movistar moves up with Enric Mas' Vuelta victory

The Vuelta a España has triggered a genuine shake-up in the UCI WorldTour team ranking. The season’s final Grand Tour, combined with points from the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec and Montréal and a busy week of racing, has produced major changes both at the top and in the battle for positions that will shape the future of numerous teams.
UAE Team Emirates-XRG retains the lead with 27,180 points. Tadej Pogacar’s squad remains well clear of its main chasers, even though the Slovenian abandoned the Vuelta and neither he nor Brandon McNulty could repeat wins at the Canadian classics.
Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe sits second with 22,676 points. The German team cut into UAE’s sizeable advantage thanks, among other results, to Remco Evenepoel’s victory at the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec.
Third place belongs to Team Visma | Lease a Bike with 20,588 points, after a heavy haul at the Vuelta with seven wins shared by Matthew Brennan and Wout van Aert; while Decathlon CMA CGM Team is fourth on 17,920, boosted by Felix Gall’s podium in the Vuelta. Lidl-Trek completes the top five with 16,071 points.

Uno-X Mobility breaks into the top 10 after the Vuelta a España
One of the week’s major movers is Uno-X Mobility. The Norwegian team climbs two places to ninth, on 10,917 points, leapfrogging Soudal Quick-Step and Alpecin-Premier Tech.
Their standout Vuelta a España explains much of the jump. The team did not arrive focused on the general classification, but its riders were constantly in key moves and racked up numerous top placings.
Tobias Halland Johannessen led the charge, winning the final stage of the Vuelta and taking second on the penultimate day; whilst Andreas Leknessund won stage 7. Magnus Cort also came close to victory several times. All told, the Norwegian outfit banked a significant points haul and advanced to ninth in the UCI Ranking. Soudal Quick-Step drops to tenth, while Alpecin-Premier Tech slips two spots to eleventh.
Movistar Team delivers the year’s biggest leap
The week’s headline movers, however, are Movistar Team. The Spanish squad jumps five places, climbing from 18th to 13th.
The driver is Enric Mas’ superb Vuelta a España. The Mallorcan won the overall classification and added a stage victory, results that delivered a massive points return for the team.
The leap is especially significant because Movistar arrived at the Vuelta in a precarious position on the ranking. The Spanish team sat 18th and was brushing the danger zone in the first year of the current triennium.
Now, with 9,428 points, Movistar is up to 13th and breathes easier in the fight to remain among the world’s best. Ahead sits EF Education-EasyPost, also up one place to 12th, thanks in large part to Richard Carapaz’s fourth place at the Vuelta. Team Jayco AlUla, for its part, loses two positions and drops to 14th.

The fight around the relegation line also shifted. NSN Cycling Team falls two spots to 16th, Tudor Pro Cycling Team slips one to 17th, and Lotto Intermarché drops another to 18th.
These last two places are crucial, as they currently mark the edge of the top 18. Behind them, Cofidis is 19th with 8,118 points and Groupama-FDJ United sits 20th on 8,007. All but Intermarché have won a stage during the recent Vuelta.
Cofidis has closed the gap thanks to points scored during the week and, in particular, Brian Coquard’s victory at the Vuelta a España. However, they still need to keep adding to catch the teams ahead.
The standings therefore set up a compelling relegation battle at the foot of the WorldTour, with several teams separated by a relatively small number of points.
Euskaltel-Euskadi’s push for the top 30
Beyond the WorldTour slots, the ranking is also vital for teams aiming to race the Grand Tours next season. Team Picnic PostNL currently holds 30th with 2,256 points. The Dutch team is enduring a very difficult season and remains in a delicate position.
Just behind sits Euskaltel-Euskadi, in 31st place with 2,018 points. The Basque squad has strengthened its project by signing Mikel Landa and keeps its chances of cracking the top 30 alive. But unless it finishes within this Top30, the Basque legend will not be able to apply for a Grand Tour wildcard next year.
Euskaltel-Euskadi could also benefit from the possible disappearance of Equipo Kern Pharma. The Spanish team is currently 27th with 2,935.97 points, but its continuity next season is not guaranteed.
Trailing Euskaltel is Li Ning Star, 32nd with 2,012.33 points. The gap to the Basque team is minimal, so the fight in the final weeks of the season could be especially intense.
UAE hold a huge lead
At the top, UAE Team Emirates-XRG continue to enjoy a sizeable cushion. Their 27,180.96 points keep them more than 4,500 clear of Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe, who have 22,676.65. Pogacar’s three wins at the Vuelta helped.
Team Visma | Lease a Bike are third and Decathlon fourth, with Lidl-Trek rounding out the top five. XDS Astana Team, Bahrain Victorious, and Netcompany INEOS complete the top eight.
Visma also stand out for their haul of points during the Vuelta. The Spanish Grand Tour delivered seven stage wins between Matthew Brennan and Wout van Aert, and those results register both individually and in the team standings.
The key takeaway from this update is that the Vuelta a España has reshaped the team ranking. Movistar have gone from the brink to breathing easier in 13th, while Uno-X Mobility have climbed into the top 10.
But several battles remain open. The fight for 17th and 18th, currently the WorldTour cut-off, is still tight, while Euskaltel-Euskadi are pushing to enter the top 30 to secure their place in next season’s Grand Tour race for invites.
