The UCI rankings will - likely - see two teams promote and two relegate to Pro Team level, and as the riders approach the final month of racing the differences become harder to close, but with a week that has seen little differences in the standings coming to a close.
The second week of the Vuelta a Espana saw a win from Team BikeExhange - Jayco - from Kaden Groves - out of the teams contesting the lower places, but with the abandon of Simon Yates with Covid-19, the Australian team has suffered a meaningful hit. Their performance at the Maryland Cycling Classic was also modest, with few points compared to EF Education-EasyPost and Israel - Premier Tech who scored big.
Israel won the race, however due to the rankings' system in which only the points of the best 10 riders count, those points have been chopped up from the Israeli team. Hence, it was EF who scored the most from their home team, going through BikeExchange. With no other meaningful race in this past week, that was also the main change. Movistar Team is the only one looking to score high with Enric Mas in the overall classification of the Vuelta a Espana.
Lotto Soudal remain 335 points behind Movistar, and Israel - Premier Tech sit almost 1000 points behind. This week will see the ending of the Vuelta which has the possibility of adding significant points to some teams, whilst the two Canadian Classics will further see large points being distributed across the board.

Rankings actualizados a diario 👇
