Tom Pidcock could make Tour de France debut in 2022

A lot of rumours have been surging from the background of INEOS Grenadiers lately on Tom Pidcock's future, and it is now reported that he may change his schedule from the Giro d'Italia towards the Tour de France this summer.

Pidcock is currently under talks regarding his future at INEOS Grenadiers, after several teams have showed interesting in transferring him for the 2023 season and onwards. He had to miss Strade Bianche this past weekend due to illness and is currently set to resume competition at Milano-Sanremo. It has been pointed out since early that his schedule would not include any break of over two weeks since his start of the road season in the Volta ao Algarve all the way to the Giro d'Italia, which included the opening weekend, Strade Bianche, Milano-Sanremo, most of the cobbled and Ardennes classics before doing the three weeks of the Italian Grand Tour.

With Egan Bernal currently out of the team's Tour de France plans, much speculation has emerged over what changes could be done in the team's schedule, with no conclusive answer. Adam Yates, Pavel Sivakov and Daniel Martínez are scheduled to be at the French Grand Tour this summer and they may have the support of the British super-talent if rumours are confirmed.

At the Giro d'Italia, Richard Carapaz will try to revalidate his 2019 title and will have Tao Geoghegan Hart and Richie Porte already for support in the high mountains.
