Stage 2 of the 2023 Tour of Slovakia came down to a bunch sprint in Poprad with Tim Merlier emerging victorious at the line.
The sprint was always the expected finish heading into the stage but when Jaka Primožic (Hrinkow Advarics) attacked solo late on it looked in doubt momentarily. When he was caught with 3km to go however, the sprint was indeed the result as it was Soudal - Quick-Step's Merlier who proved the quickest of the bunch.
