Sepp Kuss is aware that a large part of the cycling fans want him to win the Vuelta a España despite the difficulties he is having in the last stages against his
Jumbo-Visma teammates
Jonas Vingegaard and
Primoz Roglic.
The American rider, in statements published by the official media of the Spanish round, wanted to make it clear that he is just another rider in the peloton, that he tries to be friendly and that he has the full support of the team:
"I don't know why others like me and want me to win! I'm just a human being, like everyone else. We are all competitors and sometimes it's hard to see the human aspect but, yeah, I just try to be nice to everyone, do my best for people. The team has given me their support and they really want to support me, but I also have to deliver and stay focused on these stages and give my best. There's still a lot of racing left."
