After years climbing up the ranks in the cyclocross field, and eventually on the road aswell, the 19-year old's undeniable talents have seen him already sign his first pro contract on the road with
Trek - Segafredo from 2023 onwards. However, he's joined the team as a stagiaire this August, and has made his debut in the American team's colours at the
Tour de l'Ain. He finished on the podium of the Antwerp Port Epic earlier this year aswell as winning the Flèche du Sud, after taking the European championships title in 2021.
"It feels unreal. Let's rock this," he concluded. The Belgian finished the opening stage of the French race over three minutes behind stage winner Jake Stewart, however it was an achievement.
