Not for the first time this 2025
Tour de France,
Tadej Pogacar was pressured hard by
Team Visma | Lease a Bike on stage 10. The Slovenian once again proved more than a match to his rival team's aggressive tactics though, snuffing out any potential threat.
Through the likes of
Sepp Kuss,
Matteo Jorgenson and
Victor Campenaerts who had dropped back from the breakaway on the final climb, Visma set a fiery tempo at the front of the general classification group. Although Pogacar was left relatively isolated by the Visma attack, he himself remained cool and composed throughout, even attacking himself at the end.
“I had really good legs, and the team executed the plan perfectly,” reflected the
UAE Team Emirates - XRG leader post-stage, despite having lost the Maillot Jaune to Ben Healy after the Irishman's breakaway escapade. “In the end, there were no time gaps with Visma | Lease a Bike. They certainly tried to make something happen, but I don’t think the climbs were hard enough to create real differences.”
