Jonas Vingegaard is the new leader of the Tour de France, although it's not the Dane's happiest day in the Grande Boucle. His team, Jumbo-Visma, worked for him to wreck the race and the tactic worked out perfectly until Tadej Pogacar attacked on the final climb and took back half the lead the Dane had built until today.
Third, the best of the mortals, is Jai Hindley who is more than a minute and a half ahead of Simon Yates and almost two minutes ahead of Carlos Rodriguez. The three crossed the finish in front of the rest and seem the strongest in the fight for the podium at the moment. Adam Yates, David Gaudu, Romain Bardet, Tom Pidcock and Sepp Kuss close the top 10 overall.
Thus, the fight for the jersey remains in a handkerchief with Pogacar 25 seconds behind Vingegaard and over two weeks still to be disputed. Spectacular what we will be able to live between the two best cyclists on the planet between now and July 23.
