The 45 debutants at the 2024 Tour de France including Remco Evenepoel, João Almeida and Arnaud De Lie

Every year there are plenty riders making their debut in the Tour de France, and some very big names are involved. Among the 45 riders who are going to race for the first time in the Grand Boucle are Remco Evenepoel, João Almeida and plenty other quality riders who will fight for stage victories and/or the overall classification.

A whole 25% of this year's peloton has never raced the Tour de France, which is equal to one in every four riders, much more than last year's 36 riders. The youngest of which is the youngest rider in the race, Johannes Kulset; whilst the oldest debutant at the Tour is Alpecin-Deceuninck's Gianni Vermeersch.

The list of 45 riders includes overall classification contenders such as Remco Evenepoel, João Almeida, Santiago Buitrago; classics riders such as Ben Healy, Stephen Williams and Oier Lazkano; and ultimately sprinters such as Gerben Thijssen, Pascal Ackermann and Arnaud De Lie.
