Tadej Pogacar, Lotte Kopecky and UAE Team Emirates amongst awarded at UCI World Tour seminar

The UCI World Tour seminar awarded a few riders and teams this Tuesday and amongst them was Tadej Pogacar. He and Shirin van Anrooij were on the ground and received an award in hand for their strong season.

On the men's side Tadej Pogacar won the UCI rankings in the 2024 season. He won plenty races including the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia and World Championships amongst other races. UAE Team Emirates had him onboard and also focused on obtaining UCI points throughout the season so they ended up winning the 'best team'. Belgium was the team that won the most points.

On the women's side it was Lotte Kopecky who won the best rider award, having won the World Championships, Paris-Roubaix Femmes, Strade Bianche Donne, UAE Tour Women, Tour of Britain Women, Tour de Romandie Féminin, Simac Ladies Tour and a double national title... It was an unsurprising win, whilst Shirin van Anrooij won the award for the best young rider and Team SD - Worx ProTime won the best team award.
