UAE Team Emirates are the first team to reveal their lineup for the upcoming
Milano-Sanremo and they are going in ambitious as the lineup consists of a lot of climbing power to support
Tadej Pogacar.
Pogacar has started off his season with incredible dominance, obliterating the competition wherever he raced - Clásica Jaén Paraiso Interior, Vuelta a Andalucia and most recently Paris-Nice. Last year he came to the Italian monument with ambitions of a strong result and his many attacks in the Poggio were evidence of that. This year he comes back with a stronger lineup behind him, as he looks to take what is one of the hardest races of the year to win.
Behind him is a team fully focused on the ascents, and the climbing side of the race.
Felix Grossschartner and
Domen Novak who supported him at Paris-Nice will be present here, and the team's Italian classics block complete the lineup with
Alessandro Covi,
Davide Formolo,
Diego Ulissi and
Matteo Trentin.
