Tom Pidcock and
Filippo Ganna will be the best cards of
INEOS Grenadiers in Saturday's Milano-Sanremo. Both riders already have a good experience with the Cipressa and Poggio climbs, as Pidcock was 15th in his debut in 2021, while Ganna impressed with runner-up result last year, behind winner Mathieu van der Poel.
"It’s a big objective for both Tom and Filippo," sports director
Steve Cummings told GCN. "Tom did a pretty good time trial at Tirreno-Adriatico, and he was up there and around the GC riders. That shows he’s improving in that discipline. It was his first top 10 in a WorldTour stage race, which is good, and he did a good job for Thymen on stage 5."
