Lidl - Trek are making big moves in the market. After securing it's current leaders, the team is said to have already signed Tao Geoghegan Hart and Jonathan Milan into 2024, but the new signings will not stop there as two more talented riders are being pointed towards the American team.
Mads Pedersen and Jonathan Milan will double-head the team's sprinting ambitions for the coming year, and the team is already working on a leadout for the winner of the Giro d'Italia's points classification. Simone Consonni of Cofidis, a fellow track teammate of Milan, is set to join the team most likely to fill in that role into 2024.
The report from Gazzetta dello Sport also adds the contacts with Andrea Bagioli of Soudal - Quick-Step. The team has Italian roots and is putting on quite a lot of focus into the nation's riders, Bagioli could form part of the team's classics block besides assisting someone like Mattias Skjelmose who is not only thriving in the hilly terrain, but now also performing quite strongly in the stage-races.
