Sepp Kuss took the biggest win of his life at the 2024 Vuelta a Espana. The American crowned himself overall winner in what was his third Grand Tour of the year.
With the '#GCKuss' movement having now come to fruition, the Team Visma | Lease a Bike star will return to Spain later this year viewed in a totally different light by his opposition. Nevertheless, returning to a Grand Tour as the reigning champion is something Kuss is incredibly excited for.
"The last edition of La Vuelta was extraordinary, a dream come true," the 28-year-old said proudly from the Team Visma | Lease a Bike team presentation in Amsterdam, recalling what was an epic year in 2023 for both Kuss and the team as a whole.
"We won all the grand tours, and I contributed to that in every stage race," he recalls. "We are also very ambitious for 2024. I want to win the Tour de France with Jonas Vingegaard and then go to Spain and wear the number one jersey as the defending champion. We want to make cycling history again next season.”
