Fabio Jakobsen has won his second stage of the week at the Tour of Denmark, stage 4, as Mads Pedersen rode to second and shortened the gap to race leader Mattias Skjelmose.
The breakaway on the day had only four riders but was quite impressive and made it close to the finish. The reel was only made with 2 kilometers to go however the speed was very high afterwards.
Lidl-Trek made the bid for the line but was then surprised by Alpecin-Deceuninck. Ramon Sinkeldam launched an early sprint which forced the sprinters to go from far. Jensen Plowright, teammate, was the one to close down the gap, however the tactic didn't prove successful.
In the final meters the Kiwi faded, and Fabio Jakobsen had the upper hand. The Soudal - Quick-Step took his second win of the week, beating Mads Pedersen and Luca Colnaghi to the line.
