Results Eneco Tour 2026 Stage 2 | Jakob Söderqvist doubles up with dominant Tilburg time trial win
Cycling
Jakob Söderqvist has won the Stage 2 individual time trial at the 2026 Eneco Tour, backing up his victory in the opening prologue with another dominant ride against the clock in Tilburg.
The Lidl-Trek rider completed the flat 13.5-kilometre course in 15:04.71, averaging 53.792km/h and beating Finn Fisher-Black by 11.28 seconds.
Söderqvist had already moved to the top of the standings at the intermediate checkpoint, reaching it in 6:44.58 before maintaining his advantage through to the finish.
Fisher-Black had previously set the benchmark with 15:15.99 after also going quickest at the intermediate point. His time was good enough for second place, although Ethan Hayter came extremely close to dislodging him, finishing just 0.46 seconds slower in 15:16.45.
Pepijn Reinderink took fourth at 16.16 seconds, with Tomáš Kopecký fifth and Wessel Mouris sixth. Victor Campenaerts finished seventh, ahead of Michiel Mouris, Christophe Laporte and Kristian Egholm.
The result also strengthened Söderqvist's position at the top of the general classification. Hayter had started the day two seconds behind the Swede and lost a further 11.74 seconds, while Wessel Mouris, who began just one second down, conceded 18.32 seconds.
Defending champion Laporte also lost significant ground, finishing ninth at 28.15 seconds from Söderqvist after beginning the stage only one second behind the race leader.

- his Roubaix win was amazing. not to take anything away from him - arguably one of MVDP's wins was at the expense of a WVA flat - but so many things need to line up to get one of these. He had a perfect race with fewer bike issues on an attritional course. And crazy strong as usual. Glad he got this done.mij04-11-2026

- A mindset that reminds me of Tim Declerq. I loved watching that guy just pound away the kilometers, hours at the front, holding an entire breakaway in check on his own. Bjerg seems like a similar guy. Curling, the team sport.RidesHills04-11-2026

- I would love to have his inconsistency. How many wins this year? 2 TdF stages, a WC, a Euro championship, San Sebastian, multiple wins early year. Monument podiums. I'd take it. I don't think he has a chance in the TdF, but he is still amazing.mij04-11-2026
- He's not going to win the TdF. Maybe if they make every single stage a TT he could win. But I still believe Tadej would just sharpen his TT skills and win.mij04-11-2026
