Soudal - Quick-Step is having significant changes into 2024, as the Belgian team looks to build a stronger support crew for Remco Evenepoel, budget is being freed. As well as Fabio Jakobsen, Rémi Cavagna is also confirmed to be departing at the end of the year.
Daniel Benson of GCN reports that a move is certain at this point, and the Frenchman is currently being linked with Movistar Team, where he would surely have the freedom to chase his own results, as well as continue to focus on the time-trials - he has recently taken another title in the French national championships.
The Frenchman developed within Soudal - Quick-Step's youth ranks and turned pro in 2017. He's established himself as a successful time-trialist but most of all rouleur and breakaway expert. Throughout his career he's taken titles on both national championship events, Vuelta a España, Tour de Pologne, Tour de Romandie, Tour of California and others.
The 27-year old remains a very efficient support rider as well for leadouts and could be of important support for the likes of Enric Mas and Matteo Jorgenson in the stage-races. Besides the nationals, he has already won two stages at the Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali.
