Competing against an all-star lineup with plenty of Grand Tour winners, Michael Woods produced a very impressive result, finishing fifth. As such, the Canadian heads into the remainder of the Italian trifecta full of confidence.
"I'm really pleased with today's result," Woods told Israel - Premier Tech's official social media in his post-race interview. "I had some good momentum in my legs and I think it bodes well for the big one, Il Lombardia, next weekend."
"The team rode really well all day," concludes Woods who finished a creditable fourth but couldn't match eventual winner Primoz Roglic when the Slovenian launched his attack. "I had a lot of help from the guys and now I'm really looking forward to next Saturday."
