After Bahrain Victorious revealed their shocking new time trial helmet at
Tirreno-Adriatico and
Paris-Nice, the
UCI have raised concerns over the safety of the Rudy Project Windgream HL 85 helmet, as they said in a statement that it “focuses more on performance than the primary function of a helmet, namely to ensure the safety of the wearer in the event of a fall”.
This comes after the world governing body announced that they had banned the head sock on Specialized’s TT5 time trial helmet and had launched reviews into the equally shocking Giro Aerohead ll and POC Tempor helmets, as well as the Rudy Project Windgream HL 85.
