Alpecin-Fenix have had another very successful day as
Oscar Riesebeek took the first win of his pro career and the 17th for the team at
Dwars door Het Hageland.
Riesebeek benefited from the collective strength of Alpecin, who helped to disrupt the chase in the hilly race once Riesebeek attacked with 11 kilometers to go. The Belgian ride rode solo into the final ascent with the peloton coming incredibly close but the lack of chasing power saw the move succeed.
Riesebeek crossed the line first with only a small gap over his teammate
Gianni Vermeersch who was the strongest up the final climb in the peloton, with
Florian Sénéchal finishing third.
