Netcompany Ineos will arrive at the newly named
Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes with a strong team featuring
Oscar Onley and
Kevin Vauquelin. With three of their riders already confirmed to start the Tour de France, it's a strong line-up that offers the British team multiple channels for victory, and avenues for others to lock in their place for July.
Historically shaping up as the premier
warm-up race for the Tour de France, Netcompany Ineos are certainly in agreement as they send Dorian Godon, and Carlos Rodriguez, as well as Only and Vauquelin in an impressive show of strength.
Their dual leaders Onley and Vauquelin are preparing for the Tour de France, a race that saw them enjoy breakout performances in 2025. Riding for different teams last season, Netcompany Ineos pulled out the chequebook over winter to bolster their GC strength in their bid to regain the yellow jersey - with their last July triumph coming in 2019 with Egan Bernal.
Dual leadership seems to be the focus this summer for the team, and they'll be hoping the pair can go up a gear ahead of the Tour, starting in South East France on Sunday.
Onley and Vauquelin fine tune Tour de France preparations
Onley has battled through a spring that saw him impress at the Volta ao Algarve before Paris Nice and Tour de Romandie disappointments and an uneventful Volta a Catalunya. Meanwhile, Vauquelin has enjoyed a steady spring with strong performances in Paris-Nice and Itzulia Basque Country and a busy Ardennes schedule.
Elsewhere,
Dorian Godon is back after one months away from the spotlight. The French champion has been in fine form this season with five stage wins and another in Paris-Nice's team time trial. Josh Tarling races for the first time in almost two months while Carlos Rodriguez will also seek to find form before July.
Completing the line-up are Laurens De Plus and Sam Watson. Michal Kwiatkowski will not be present and hasn't pinned a number since March and his Milano-Sanremo crash while other riders planned for the Barcelona Grand Depart including Pippo Ganna and Thymen Arensman - who rode the Giro d'Italia last month.
